Jennifer Mitchell (Children's Literature)
In this latest installment of “Weird Planet,” Jo-Jo and her alien friends head to Las Vegas. They make a startling discovery along the way. Things become more confusing and frightening for Lek once they arrive in Las Vegas. There are Elvises everywhere. They all look the same. They sing when spoken to, and they drive pink Cadillacs. Lek thinks they’re acting rather suspiciously. He is concerned that these Elvises may be aliens with an evil plan. Jo-Jo and the others attempt to alleviate his fears. The Looglings begin to explore their new surroundings and are mystified by the surprising variety around them. Then, Jo-Jo and Lily suddenly disappear. It is up to Ploo, Klatu, and Lek to discover the secret that is being hidden in a Rock and Roll casino and to save their friends. Can the Looglings solve the mystery before their friends are destroyed by ray-gun guitars? Will pink Cadillacs be Ploo, Klatu, and Lek’s means of getting home? Read and see.
